CDC’s Basic Camera Pack has the minimum configuration required and is priced to make 4k digital cinema affordable to any budget. In addition to this, you can take advantage of our comprehensive accessory packages or can customize a kit to match your specific needs.

All packages will be accompanied by one of our technicians to help achieve budget transport and higher equipment safety for the minimum rate of €180,00/day. Alternatively, you can choose to leave a security deposit and provide us with proof of insurance for bare camera rental. However, a minimum three-day stay for induction and risk assessment applies. Transport service and rental days are charged at 50%.

CDC’s Custom Prime Lens Package was manufactured in our facilities and is unique in the world. It takes advantage of the golden days of still photography: The Contax/Yashica lens series. All lenses have been adapted to fit the Red Camera, offering DOPs the image quality and creative freedom of high-end Zeiss glass at an affordable price. We have worked with a number of Focus-Pullers & DOPs from the cinema industry who greatly appreciated having budget access to 1st class image performance despite of being subject to the limitations in terms of strength, stability and workflow when compared to cinema optics. In all cases, our clients were able to adjust were able to achieve remarkable results. CDC’s Director Monitor Package is also a unique item, custom made in our facilities. It offers the possibility of monitoring frame on a comfortable size up to 20m away from the camera. This system is also ideal for monitoring on small cranes. While not anywhere near comparable to HD production monitors, here are the specs: Max. resolution 1400x900, viewing angle 160º, contrast ratio 500:1, pixel pitch 0.285, response time 2ms.

CDC’s Power Inverter Package allows Red Brick batteries to charge from a 12v battery or a vehicle on location. It can be used for powering the Director Monitor or an external hard drive and laptop for backing up the footage on location. This system also offers protection from unearthed or modified-sinewave generators from which the smart chargers may often refuse operation.

These items are not high-end sound recording equipment, but they can provide very decent results for most common situations. They can also be used to capture good reference sound by either mounting the shotgun mic on the Red Camera or sending a wireless signal from the sound mixing desk. For high-end sound, please allow us to recommend you Oscar, our usual sound recordist. He has a digital recorder that is worth more than our camera and a van full of sound recording toys, as well as being very professional and always fun to work with, like the rest of our CDC staff.

Aquavideo Underwater Camera Housing: €350,00/day

A high quality underwater housing rated 75m. Power, trigger, white balance and focus assist controls, with custom simple manual iris and focus control for CDC’s Zeiss wide angle lenses and the popular Red Zoom 18-50mm. Ready to operate with the Canon 10-22mm lens and other EOS lenses with the Birger Mount, expected in November 2008. Offboard housing for the Red LCD for comfortable monitor positioning. Its Aluminum construction dissipates the heat allowing operation even in warm tropical waters.

Comes with an optional 10m BNC cable to allow surface monitoring and waterproof connectors to extend to further distances to a monitor with HD-SDI input.

Underwater photography is a complex speciality and CDC staff is ready to provide you with professional advise and all the infrastructure necessary to achieve a good shot. You can rent the bare housing to use with your own camera or rent the complete pack of housing, operator camera and optics. It is our company policy never to allow our camera underwater without our underwater camera operator.
